General information

The EPNS has been organising training courses in paediatric neurology since 2003 specifically aiming at trainees but also at qualified paediatric neurologists who want to refresh their knowledge on certain topics. The aim is to cover most main topics in the syllabus over a three-year cycle and to promote contact between individuals in the speciality in different parts of Europe. The course has a highly interactive character and participants are encouraged to bring (difficult) cases to discuss. The number of participants is limited and applicants who wish to attend both courses will be given priority over those who wish to attend one of the two courses. The current cycle of training courses (2015-2017) is taking place in the beautiful city of Budapest, Hungary.

The EPNS Training Course in 2016 took place from 8-11 March 2016 at the Rubin Wellness & Conference Hotel H-1118 Budapest, Dayka Gábor utca 3. A 4-star conference hotel in a quiet area, 20 minutes from the city centre and a 5-minute walk from the metro line. The event was a great success! Very-very valuable presenters, inquisitive participants – the perfect combination. The social programme was also very well received, especially the cooking course! Thank you to Katalin Hollódy, Coriene Catsman-Berrevoets, Peter Baxter and the local team of organisers for making fantastic arrangements, and a huge thanks to all the faculty members, and participants for contributing to make the courses such a success.

The 4 day event was granted 24 CME credits by European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) and split into the following sessions:

8-9 March: Epilepsy and other paroxysmal disorders
Scientific organiser: Professor Katalin Hollódy , Pecs, Hungary10-11 March: Behavioural, psychological and psychiatric aspects of neurology, including autism and learning difficulties
Scientific organiser: Dr Peter Baxter, Sheffield, United Kingdom

IMPORTANT: EPNS courses are only available to EPNS members who have paid their current year annual subscription fee. If you are not a member, please email info@epns.info for more information.
