VACATION REPLACEMENT NEUROPEDIATRICS:  Ghana, West-Africa

Holy Family Hospital Techiman Ghana, West-Africa, is looking for a vacation replacement for 2-3 Months in September – November 2023. Techiman is located in the middle of Ghana, it is a level 4 district mission hospital with different specialties like pediatric, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, internal medicine, radiology, ENT, Eye department, dental and maxi facial department, therapeutical department with Physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy and behavioral therapy (ABA). The Neuropediatric department takes care for children in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) (asphyxia, syndromic children), in the pediatric ward and in the emergency (mainly status epilepticus 2nd to cerebral malaria). All kind of neurological sicknesses are seen.. An EEG machine is available as well as a CT. The applicant should be a Neuropediatrician with some experience and should not be afraid of Mosquitos. Free accommodation in the hospital own guesthouse and food is offered. One year locum Consultant Paediatric Neurologist, Southampton, UK

Southampton paediatric neurology department are recruiting for a one year locum consultant paediatric neurology post to cover maternity leave. The successful applicant will work alongside seven consultant colleagues, and a paediatric neurology full time associate specialist within a supportive and enthusiastic neurosciences multidisciplinary team. Sub-specialist interests within the department include complex epilepsy with working links within the epilepsy surgery pathway, neuromuscular, stroke, complex tone, rehabilitation, including botox, headache, neuro-oncology and neonatal neurology. Professor Vollmer is a clinical academic, specialising in perinatal-neonatal neurology and there are additional clinical academic opportunities within the wider department.

We would support candidates who have completed their paediatric neurology training, awaiting their first substantive consultant post to apply and will provide mentorship during the locum post.
