The EPNS was delighted to offer this 60 minute webinar which was organised by the YEPNS on 18 February 2026 covering the topic ‘Paediatric Neurology in the Anthropocene. Clinical perspectives in a changing climate’

Description: We are currently living in an era dominated by human-driven climatic and environmental footprint. Of the nine planetary boundaries that define the ecological threshold for Earth’s stability, seven have already been crossed. Among these, climate change acceleration has become a crucial, severe and highly worrying problem of our times. Not only is climate change negatively affecting our planet’s ecology, but it also poses a direct and indirect threat to human health, causing increase in disease incidence, morbidity and mortality, and worsening health outcomes. Children, and especially children with neurological or neurodevelopmental disorders, are uniquely vulnerable in this sense. The EPNS is committed to address awareness and knowledge within pediatric neurologists about climate change and its impact on our profession.

Speakers: Professor Ivan Janssens and Dr Thomas Foiadelli

Chair: Dr Roberto Previtali
