Dr Ani Gevorgyan from Arabkir MC-ICAH Armenia is spending her fellowship at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom. We were delighted to received this update from Dr Gevorgyan:

Here in the Great North Children’s Hospital at the RVI in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, I had an opportunity to take part in paediatric neurology  outpatient clinics, to follow the diagnostic and treatment processes in the inpatient department, to visit neurophysiology, neurogenetics, neuromuscular,  neuroophthalmology and CMT clinics. It was a great pleasure to ”shadow” my knowledgeable supervisor Dr. Rob Forsyth, who was always willing to give reasonable answers to all my questions. During this period I was able to see a lot of patients with difficult-to-treat epilepsy and rare neurological disorders, which will help me in my future professional life.
Along with active learning I had some time to enjoy this friendly city full of wonderful landmarks and attractions.
Once more I want to thank EPNS for this opportunity, for giving a chance to young doctors like me, to get an experience in their profession, to make new professional relationships and to get one step closer to becoming a knowledgeable physician.
Now, with improved knowledge, a great experience and a new wave of motivation, I am ready to go back to my lovely country to have my little input in the development of paediatric neurology in Armenia.
